Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my print take to arrive?
We aim to deliver finished prints within 7 days usually we are a little quicker.
Do I get a guarantee?
Absolutely. You’re covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I don’t have a digital camera can I send a photo?
Yes we regularly accept printed photos. We can scan them and even email you a digital copy.
Will my print fade in the sun?
The Lucia Ink and Giclee varnish we use stops the effect of damaging UV although it is best not to hang your print in direct sunlight.
How good is your printer?
We use a Canon printer that has 12 head technology, probably one of the best printers in the world for canvas print.
I have a great shot but the colour’s not right can you fix it?
Yes no problem, we can adjust exposure, make pictures brighter, fix red eye - all at no extra cost!
I want a square print but I only have a standard rectangle picture
That’s fine, we will crop the picture using the subject as the main part of the new picture.
What is the difference between gallery wrap and standard edge?
Gallery wrap is where the picture carries on round the picture to the wall, this is great for landscapes etc or pictures where the subject is centered. Standard edge puts a white border on the edge and keeps the whole picture on the front of the canvas.
Can my print go outside?
No canvas prints are only suitable for indoors
What is Giclee?
Giclée fine art print refers to a digital reproduction using state of the art inkjet technology. The name comes from the French word Giclée that means “fine spray”. Not any digital print is a Giclée however, only digital
prints that are created on special high resolution printers utilizing specially formulated inks and media under strict printing standards. The media is carried by a spinning roller while ink is sprayed on it at a very high speed. This renders an amazingly smooth and consistent image true to the original painting or photograph, a superb quality fine art reproduction.
Can I wash my print?
This is not advisable - although the print is painted with a protective varnish, it won’t survive a soaking. Gently blow or wipe using a dry cloth. If you have a stubborn finger print or mark to remove, try first wiping on the back edge to see how much pressure/liquid is needed to clean.
My picture has gone a bit saggy?
Atmospheric conditions and humidity can make the canvas go a little saggy or light! You just need to tap in the wedges a little - instructions are here.
